MARC T. GILES
President and Chief Executive Officer
Marc T. Giles was named President and CEO in November 2001. A Gerber employee since December 2000, Mr. Giles joined the company as President of its Gerber Technology subsidiary from FMC Corp., Chicago, a $4 billion producer of machinery and chemicals for industry and agriculture. During his 12-year tenure with FMC, he held a number of senior positions in sales and marketing management, strategy development, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to his career at FMC Corp., Mr. Giles spent ten years with Norton Co., Worcester, Mass., serving in various sales, business development and marketing roles.

MICHAEL R. ELIA
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Michael R. Elia joined Gerber Scientific, Inc. in April 2008 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Gerber, Mr. Elia served as Chief Financial Officer of The Frank Gates Companies, Inc., a specialty service provider for the insured and alternative risk marketplace. He also served as Senior Vice President and CFO of FastenTech, Inc., a global producer of engineered components and specialty fasteners, where he led their M&A activity, in addition to his finance responsibilities. Previously, Mr. Elia had been CFO of Insilco Holding Company, a diversified manufacturer of electronic and telecommunications products. He was also CFO of Jordan Telecommunications Products, Inc., a global manufacturer of communication infrastructure products and electronic components.

JAMES S. ARTHURS
Senior Vice President, Gerber Scientific, Inc.
President, Gerber Scientific Asia-Pacific
James S. Arthurs was appointed to the newly created position of President, Gerber Scientific, Asia Pacific, and named Non-Executive Chairman of Gerber Technology, effective February 2005. Mr. Arthurs was formerly President of Gerber Technology. He joined Gerber in 1980 and has held various positions over the years in sales and marketing with a focus in international marketing. Prior to joining Gerber, Mr. Arthurs spent eight years with The Singer Company as Director of Credit, International Group, based at European Headquarters in Germany, and then at World Headquarters in New York City. Prior to that, he spent six years in marketing, distribution and finance with Gallaher Ltd., a U.K.-based tobacco products company.

PATRICIA L. BURMAHL
Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources
Patricia L. Burmahl joined Gerber Scientific, Inc. in May 2010 as Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources. Prior to joining Gerber, Ms. Burmahl spent over six years in HR Leadership roles in Pfizer’s Global Research and Development organization. Her most recent role was Vice President, Human Resources for Worldwide Development where she was responsible for leading global human resources strategies, including mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on driving change, developing talent and enhancing employee engagement. While at Pfizer, she also held the role of Vice President, Global Compensation and Benefits for Research and Development. Before joining Pfizer, Ms. Burmahl spent 18 years at IBM Corporation where she held a number of HR management and specialist roles supporting multiple business units. She began her career as an accountant at IBM.

THOMAS P. FINN
Senior Vice President, Global Operations
Thomas P. Finn joined Gerber Scientific, Inc. in February 2010 as Senior Vice President of Global Operations. Prior to joining Gerber, Mr. Finn served as an independent consultant providing operational transformation services. He also served as Executive VP, Operations Restructuring at Medis Technologies, Inc., a developer of portable fuel cell products. Previously, Mr. Finn was VP Supply Chain for Lucent Technologies, Inc., leading that telecommunications equipment company's global manufacturing transformation; and, subsequently serving as head of Asia Operations based in Shanghai, PRC. He was VP Worldwide Supply for Solectron Corp., a global leader in electronics manufacturing services. Mr. Finn earlier spent eleven years in various procurement and operations roles with Texas Instruments, Inc., a global diversified manufacturer of electronics systems and components. He started his career as a design engineer and project manager with CE Maguire, a privately-held architecture and engineering firm.

WILLIAM V. GRICKIS, JR.
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
William V. Grickis, Jr. joined Gerber Scientific, Inc. in October 2003 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. He was formerly Vice President and General Counsel of Agion Technologies, LLC, Wakefield, MA, a privately held biotech company. Before joining Agion, Mr. Grickis served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Barnes Group, Inc., Bristol, CT, a leading manufacturer of complex metal components and precision springs for industrial, automotive, and aerospace markets and a major distributor of MRO products to industrial and transporation markets. Prior to his career at Barnes Group, he spent 16 years at Loctite Corporation serving as Corporate Counsel and Assistant Secretary.

JOHN R. HANCOCK
Senior Vice President, Gerber Scientific, Inc.
President, Gerber Technology
John R. Hancock was appointed President of Gerber Technology in February 2005 and continues to serve as Senior Vice President of Gerber Scientific, Inc. He was formerly President of Gerber Coburn, a position he held since December 2001. A 30-year veteran of the optical industry, Mr. Hancock served as Gerber Coburn's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing from February 1998 to September 2001, serving thereafter in a part-time executive advisory role. He was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Coburn Optical Industries Inc., Tulsa, Okla., from 1994 through the acquisition of Coburn by Gerber in 1998. Prior to joining Gerber, he was employed by Omega Optical, Dallas, for 11 years as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He began his marketing and sales career in the optical industry with American Optical Co., Southbridge, Mass., in 1973.

ALEX F. INCERA
Vice President, Gerber Scientific, Inc.
President, Gerber Coburn
Alex Incera was appointed President of Gerber Coburn and Vice President of Gerber Scientific, Inc. in September 2008. Prior to this appointment, he was General Manager responsible for Gerber Coburn's worldwide business operations. Alex joined Gerber Optical Inc. as project manager in 1995 and was promoted to Director of Engineering in 1996. In 1999 he assumed the role of Vice President of Engineering, where he was responsible for maintaining Gerber Coburn's technological leadership worldwide through research, new product development and product engineering. In 2006 he became Executive Director of Marketing. In this role he was responsible for providing strategic direction by identifying new product and business opportunities and directing marketing communications. Before joining Gerber, Incera held an engineering management position at Instron Corporation, Canton, MA.

RODNEY W. LARSON
Senior Vice President, Gerber Scientific, Inc.
President, Spandex, Ltd.
Rodney Larson was appointed Senior Vice President of Gerber Scientific, Inc. and President of Spandex, Ltd., based in Brussels, Belgium, in July 2007. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Larson was President of Gerber Coburn - a position he held since March 2006. Prior to joining Gerber, he was Vice President of Key Technology, Inc., a provider of process automation systems where he led sales, marketing, and customer service activities. He began his career with engineering roles at Dow Chemical and Rogers Corporation. Subsequently, he spent 11 years with FMC Corporation where he held various management roles, including President of Frigoscandia Equipment, Inc.

STEPHEN P. LOVASS
Senior Vice President, Gerber Scientific, Inc.
President, Gerber Scientific Products
Stephen Lovass was appointed Senior Vice President of Gerber Scientific, Inc. and President of Gerber Coburn in July 2007 and took on the additional role of President of Gerber Scientific Products in February 2008. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Lovass was Vice President of Gerber Scientific, Inc. and President of Spandex, Ltd. based in Brussels, Belgium - a position he held since November 2006. He was formerly Group Managing Director of Spandex, Ltd. Before assuming the role of Group Managing Director in February 2005, Lovass was Vice President – Marketing and Business Development for Spandex. Mr. Lovass joined Gerber in May 2001 as Executive Director of Marketing and Product Management for Gerber Technology. Prior to Gerber, he spent five years in a series of senior marketing, strategy, and business management positions, both in the United States and internationally for FMC Corporation.
