Gerber Scientific, Inc. Honors Innovation at the Company with the Receipt of 45 U.S. Patents

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT -- During a ceremony held at Gerber Scientific, Inc.’s (NYSE: GRB) headquarters, 45 United States patents were presented to 42 employees from each of the company’s four subsidiaries, in recognition of their accomplishments in innovation. This includes three patents awarded posthumously to Joseph Gerber, founder of the company.

Twenty patents were awarded to employees of Gerber Scientific Products, a developer and manufacturer of systems, software, materials and accessories to the sign making and specialty graphics industry, fourteen to Gerber Technology, a provider of automation solutions to apparel and flexible goods industries, six to Gerber Coburn, a provider of computer-integrated lens processing systems to the ophthalmic industry, and five to Gerber Innovations, a designer and developer of products and processes that extend Gerber’s technology and intellectual property into new markets.
