GERBER SCIENTIFIC, INC. ANNOUNCES
THREE KEY SENIOR MANAGEMENT PROMOTIONS
AS COMPANY CONTINUES ITS RAPID RECOVERY

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. – Gerber Scientific Inc., (NYSE: GRB) a diversified global supplier of automated manufacturing systems for the sign making, specialty graphics, apparel, flexible materials, and ophthalmic industries, today announced three key senior management promotions.

Jay Zager, 56, formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been named Executive Vice President and will continue to serve as CFO. Gregory Wolf, 38, formerly a Vice President, has been named Senior Vice President and continues to serve as President of Gerber Scientific Products. John Henderson, 46, previously Executive Director, Project Management, has been elevated to Vice President, Project Management.

Commenting on the appointments, Gerber Scientific's President and CEO, Marc T. Giles, said: “All three of these valued members of our management team have made critically important contributions to the Company's notable progress in both the marketplace and on Wall Street.

“Since joining us last year, Jay Zager has proven to be a valued partner with me in restoring and enhancing the Company's standing with the financial and investment communities. His disciplined approach to financial management and reporting has contributed to restored confidence on Wall Street, as reflected in growing investor interest in Gerber and our much improved share price.

“Greg Wolf first joined Gerber Scientific in January 2003 as Director of Business Development and, in the following year, was named Corporate Vice President and President of the Gerber Scientific Products unit. His rapid rise to our senior team underscores the operational success he has helped bring to the important business he manages, as well as to the Company overall.

“A veteran of 22 years with Gerber Scientific, John Henderson continues to bring fresh thinking and energy to his role. John has held a series of progressively more responsible finance and then operational positions during his career with Gerber Scientific. John and his organization have played a critical supporting role in the Company's successful effort to greatly increase the pace of new product introductions.”
