Gerber Scientific, Inc. Reports Annual Meeting Results

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT -- At the Annual Meeting of Shareholders of Gerber Scientific, Inc. (NYSE: GRB), held Thursday, October 3, 2002, shareholders elected A. Robert Towbin, David J. Logan, and Carole F. St. Mark as directors, to serve until the year 2005. In addition, a shareholder proposal requesting the Board to declassify received approximately 52% of the votes cast. This non-binding proposal will be further considered by the Board of Directors.
